- The APC in Ibadan, Oyo State, has launched another attack against Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration.
- The party is incensed by the significant amount of money Makinde purportedly spent on the partial execution of the Ibadan Circular Road Project.
- Olawale Sadare, spokesperson for the Oyo APC, has leveled a grave accusation against Makinde regarding the state’s funds.
In Ibadan, Oyo State, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has raised concerns about what it alleges to be a significant fraud discovered in the partial implementation of the Ibadan Circular Road Project.
The party urges Governor Seyi Makinde to handle the state’s funds transparently and judiciously, criticizing the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for alleged corruption under his administration. The Oyo APC warns that ongoing corruption could lead the state into irreparable trouble. Governor Makinde recently announced the completion of the Ibadan Circular Road Project, claiming it to be the largest investment in Oyo State in 50 years, costing a staggering N300 billion. The APC questions the governor’s decision to expand the road project to 425 meters and accuses him of demolishing properties to benefit himself and his allies.
APC stated: “Gov. Makinde mis-appropriates scarce resources to the detriment of the welfare of the people. This has to stop.”
