Chidimma Adetshina, a 23-year-old beauty queen, has officially accepted an invitation to compete in the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 pageant.
This decision comes after her withdrawal from the Miss South Africa competition, where she faced scrutiny over her Nigerian heritage.
In a heartfelt video shared on social media, Chidimma expressed her gratitude to the Silverbird Group, the pageant’s organizers, and conveyed her excitement about representing Taraba State.
“I have decided to participate in the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 beauty pageant, she stated; I understand the expectations and responsibilities that come with this title, and I am so excited to embark on this journey.”
Chidimma’s withdrawal from Miss South Africa was prompted by allegations regarding her nationality and concerns for her family’s safety.
Following her exit, the Miss Universe Nigeria organizers extended their support, inviting her to join their prestigious competition.
