Argentina remains at the top of the FIFA World Ranking, while newly crowned European champions “Spain” have risen to third position. France stays in second place.
The rankings were published on Thursday, July 18, 2024, following a busy month of football.
Argentina beat Colombia to win the Copa America, solidifying their position at the summit. Spain’s triumph at the European Championship saw them climb five places to third.
England moved up to fourth, overtaking Brazil who had an underwhelming Copa America campaign.
The top 10 is rounded out by Belgium, Netherlands, Portugal, Colombia, and Italy.Venezuela, who reached the Copa America quarter-finals, were the most improved side, rising 17 places to 37th.
Euro quarter-finalists Turkey also made significant strides, jumping 16 places to 26th.
