The Nigerian Senate has taken a decisive action, sacking Senator Ali Ndume from his position as the Chief Whip.
This move comes in the wake of Ndume’s recent criticism of President Bola Tinubu and the state of the nation.
Senator Ndume had voiced his concerns about the acute hunger and hardship faced by many Nigerians, which did not sit well with some of his fellow senators and the Presidency.
His outspoken nature and willingness to challenge the status quo seem to have rubbed some of his colleagues the wrong way, leading to his removal from the influential Chief Whip position.
