In a move that has sent shockwaves through the Welsh football community, former Liverpool striker Craig Bellamy has been appointed as the new head coach of the Wales national team.
The 44-year-old, who enjoyed a storied playing career that included spells at clubs like Manchester City, Newcastle United, and of course, Liverpool, has signed a contract that will keep him at the helm of the Dragons until 2028.
Bellamy’s appointment comes on the heels of a disappointing campaign for Wales, who failed to qualify for the upcoming Euro 2024 tournament.
His predecessor, Rob Page, was swiftly shown the door, paving the way for the prodigal son’s return to the international stage.
