The Sokoto State Government has taken a bold step in combating banditry by approving the construction of the Tureta-Gidan Kare road, which will facilitate access to areas known as bandit hideouts.
Governor Ahmed Aliyu announced this initiative during a recent visit to Tureta Local Government, emphasizing the importance of enhancing security in the region.
He stated that the road will enable security forces to reach these remote forests more effectively, thereby improving their operations against bandits.Governor Aliyu expressed his commitment to ensuring the safety of residents, pledging to allocate necessary resources to tackle the ongoing security challenges.
