The Federal Government has announced the release of ₦570 billion in grants to state governments to address the pressing issues of hardship and hunger faced by citizens.

This initiative, unveiled by President Bola Tinubu, is designed to provide critical support amid rising economic challenges across the country.

The funding is part of a broader fiscal strategy aimed at improving the livelihoods of Nigerians.

The government has reported a significant increase in revenue, totaling ₦9.1 trillion for the first half of 2024, compared to the previous administration.

In addition to the grants, the government has also supported 600,000 nano-businesses through various funding initiatives, with plans for further assistance.
