Citizens are expressing their frustration over the rising cost of living and are demanding better governance and accountability from their leaders.
During ongoing protests in Nigeria, Police Commissioner Benneth Igweh remarked, “If they say prices of food are high for them, prices are equally high for us.”
These protests, known as “Ten Days of Rage,” have emerged in response to skyrocketing food prices and inflation, largely attributed to recent government reforms like the removal of fuel subsidies and currency devaluation.
In response to the unrest, authorities have resorted to using tear gas and imposing curfews to maintain order.
The situation reflects the deepening economic struggles faced by many Nigerians, highlighting the urgent need for solutions to alleviate the burden on everyday citizens.
