Russian President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the following statements regarding the assassination attempt on former U.S. President Donald Trump he said;
It was “obvious” Trump’s life was in danger after numerous attempts to remove him from the presidential race using illegal means, courts, prosecutors, and efforts to discredit him politically.
He argued that the current U.S. administration tends to resolve issues through force rather than seeking compromise, including economic pressure, sanctions, and political pressure.
Peskov claimed the political climate created by the Biden administration fueled the violence, even though Russia does not believe the administration orchestrated the assassination attempt.
He also emphasized that Russia has always condemned violence during political struggles and strongly condemns this attack as well, offering condolences to the victims’ families and wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
Peskov accused the U.S. of being incapable of tolerance and capable of perpetrating any crime for their “ultimate goal”.
